We started investing in real estate in the Grand Junction area of Colorado in 2000. Like many new investors we were apprehensive to make that first real estate deal. Many of the books we read and seminars we attended suggested that we get involved with our local real estate investment group to network with others, share resources and learn. Unfortunately the closest real estate investment group was in the Denver area and we couldn’t always get to mid-week meetings and seminars. As the years past, we waited and hoped that someone would start a real estate investment group.

Then in 2004 while working on our final project for our Masters of Business Administration degrees we decided that we should start our own group. Two years in the making, we launched Western Slope Real Estate Investors in the spring of 2006.

Avid outdoor enthusiasts, we enjoy all types of activities and compete in races and triathlons. We enjoy pushing ourselves both physically and in our business. We spend a lot of time outside our comfort zone and enjoy learning from others. We hope you see the benefit of networking, education and collaboration in your real estate investment business and we invite you to share in our vision.

Description of WSREI and how meetings work: Western Slope Real Estate Investors is an opportunity for investors and real estate professionals to network and learn in an educational forum.

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month and consist of an education presentation followed by member sharing and open networking. Don’t forget to bring your business cards!
